In the Spring of 2023 I took a class on directing. Our school's mainstage theatre was closed for construction, so the theatre department hosted a 10 minute Climate Play Festival in downtown Plattsburgh . It was spread among 4 locations. Each student in the class was given a list of shows to choose from. As an interdisciplinary robotics and theatre student, I wanted to build a robot for the show I was to direct. I went out onto New Play Exchange looking for a show to use. After hours of research, and failing to find something, I said to myself, " How hard could it be to write my own show? " And so that it what I decided to do!

The play titled "Talking Heads on the Television" is about a scientist who gives a presentation on climate change disinformation. The scientist, played by Charles Marcheski, presents, next to a TV on which they play clips of politicians telling lies about the climate. The scientist then explains the facts behind those lies. During the presentation something goes wrong and the scientist has to salvage their work. The interesting part of this play is that instead of video clips being played on a real TV, there is an animatronic head playing the role of these public figures.
