I was born and raised in a small town in northern New York. Growing up I had always had an interest in robotics. I competed in First Robotics from age 8 until I graduated high school. I thought I would continue robotics as a career. However, in high school I was introduced to tech theatre running the sound board for my drama club.
I started my college career getting an associates degree in Mechanical Technology focusing on 3D modeling and advanced manufacturing techniques. From there I transferred schools to SUNY Plattsburgh where I started the certificate program for Technical Theatre. After completing the certification, I was asked to consider staying at Plattsburgh and working towards a Bachelor’s of Science in Technical Theater and Robotics. In my time at Plattsburgh I have worked in many different roles including light design, sound design, master electrician, assistant technical director, director, playwright and projections design.
