Robot for college level introduction to robotics class

We discovered some issues with KIF 2023 and also wanted to make some cost saving changes. This led to the development of a custom PCB. This was my first PCB design that went to production (and worked)

This design is intended to remain the same for multiple years to save on cost and make the class more consistent in what is being taught between semesters.

The biggest change to this model of KIF is the electronics. We replaced an external USB power bank with a custom on PCB boost convertor that converts the battery power supplied to the microcontroller to 5v for the motors to use. We also replaced the need for a separate motor controller by integrating one into the PCB.
